Commuters, take note: Metro plans track work on the Red, Orange and Green lines this weekend, including replacing some trains with buses.
There is no scheduled track work this weekend on the Blue or Yellow lines.
On the Red Line, buses will be used between Fort Totten and Forest Glen as Metro performs platform reconstruction, signal testing, track maintenance and fiber-optic cable installation.
Red Line trains still will run from Shady Grove to Fort Totten and from Forest Glen to Glenmont. Metro says the busing could add 30 minutes to travel.
In addition, the last Red Line train on Friday and Saturday nights from Glenmont will depart at 2:05 a.m., 32 minutes earlier than normal. The last train from Fort Totten to Shady Grove will depart at 2:50 a.m.
On Sunday night, the last Red Line train from Glenmont will depart at 11:05 p.m. The last train from Fort Totten to Shady Grove will depart at 11:50 p.m.
On the Orange Line, trains will single track between Stadium-Armory and Cheverly to allow for platform reconstruction, and between East Falls Church and West Falls Church for work associated with the Silver Line extension project, Metro said. That could add 15 minutes to travel.

And on the Green Line, trains will single track between Greenbelt and College Park to allow for construction. Travelers should allow 10 extra minutes.
However, if you are lucky enough to have tickets to the Redskins-Giants Monday Night Football game Monday, Metro will be running late trains.
Fans leaving FedEx Field for Morgan Boulevard station will find the last Blue Line train headed toward Franconia-Springfield at 12:25 a.m., and the last Blue Line train to Largo Town Center at 1:33 a.m.
Entrances at all other Metro stations will close at their normal times, but customers will be able to exit at all stations during the additional hour of service.
