Medical Marijuana Supporters Rally in D.C.

Safe Access D.C. is pressuring the government to begin registering patients

A pro-medical marijuana group is trying to put pressure on the D.C. government to speed up its new medical marijuana program on Thursday.

Safe Access D.C. held a rally at the D.C. Department of Health Thursday to demand the city begin registering patients into the program.

The group claims no one has been registered as a medical marijuana patient although the D.C. Council approved the use of the drug about two years ago.
