D.C.'s famous Cherry Blossom Festival is in full bloom, and that means more people, longer lines and more planning. If you want to swim outside of the mainstream for the next few weeks, while still maintaining maximum fun, then our night-by-night review of some of the best things to do in the city is for you.

Week of the 24th:

Friday 3/28: Wizards Game

Few things bring people together more than a shared hatred for a mutual enemy. Even if the hatred is fleeting (we don't want to hate anybody), we can't think of a better way to bond with your fellow District dwellers than to cheer for your home team at a national sporting event. Friday night, Wizards play the Pacers at the Verizon Center, and tickets can be purchased as low as $25. Score.

Saturday 3/29: Dinner on U Street and the Infamous Stringdusters at the 9:30 Club

A Saturday night spent on U Street is a Saturday night well spent. Grab dinner at one of U Street's many eateries -- Ben's Chili Bowl's notoriously long lines aren't nearly as bad when the sun goes down -- and then walk a few blocks over to the 9:30 Club on V Street to enjoy Grammy-nominated group The Infamous String Dusters.

Sunday, 3/29: Camp David

Pulitzer Prize winner Lawrence Wright takes a theatrical look at the 13-day ordeal known as the Camp David Accords. The play features an award-winning cast, including Richard Thomas as President Jimmy Carter, Hallie Foote as Rosalynn Carter, Ron Rifkin as Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin, and Khaled Nabawy as Egyptian President Anwar Sadat. Curtains go up at 2 p.m., but if you can't make it, don't worry! There are plenty more showings through the month.

Check back next week for another round of ideas to avoid the crowds during Cherry Blossom season.
