The Hill Releases Annual '50 Most Beautiful' List

Both Barack and Michelle Obama made the list, as did Miss D.C. 2014

Looking for some eye candy in D.C.? TheHill.com's annual 50 Most Beautiful People list was released Wednesday.

Both President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama made appearances on the list. The first lady came in at number 9, beating out the president, who was in the bottom 40 (only the top 10 are ranked by number). The list described Barack Obama as "perhaps the most fit president in the history of the United States" and Michelle as a "workout fiend who engages in high-intensity sweat sessions."

This was Michelle Obama's first time on the list. The president snagged the number 2 spot back in 2005, back when he was a senator from Illinois.

The top spot for 2015 went to 23-year-old Taylor Weeks, a Republican legislative correspondent for Sen. John Cornyn. She told The Hill that she had trouble fitting in during middle school due to her height (she's now 5 feet, 10 inches tall) and her red hair.

Several of the winners had a background in beauty pageants. Cassie Roper, number 7 on the list and a Republican legislative correspondent for Rep. Duncan Hunter, won the Miss Mid-Atlantic Supranational crown in 2014. Teresa Davis, a Republican legislative correspondent for Rep. Tom Cole, won the Miss District of Columbia crown that same year.

Chris Jansing, senior White House correspondent for NBC News, also snagged a spot on this year’s list. She told The Hill that she "stays in shape by walking everywhere, including to work at the White House."
