Legal Sea Foods' Crab Dip
serves 4-6 people
- 8 oz.whipped cream cheese with chives
- 2 T heavy cream
- 3 T minced Bermuda or sweet onion (optional)
- 2 T bottled horseradish
- 1/2-1 T Old Bay seasoning
- 3 T sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 lb. fresh, lump crabmeat, undrained, picked over for shells and cartilage
In a large mixing bowl, blend the cream cheese and cream until smooth.
Mix in the onion, horseradish, Old Bay, and Cheddar cheese.
Stir in the crabmeat and its juices.
Place in a medium ovenproof dish, such as a 9-inch pie plate, and bake at 375 degrees until bubbly, 10-12 minutes.
Serve immediately with Japanese shrimp crackers (found at Asian markets).
