Anyone wanting a ticket to the new National Museum of African American History and Culture should plan on being near a computer or phone Monday morning.

The museum will begin offering free timed passes on Monday, Oct. 3 at 9 a.m. The passes will cover January, February and March 2017 and will be available at nmaahc.si.edu/passes or by calling (866) 297-4020.

There is a limit of six free timed passes per order. Those who want to get the tickets should act quickly since previous distributions of free timed passes were gone in minutes.

If that doesn’t work, a limited number of same-day passes are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis by the museum’s Visitor Services staff beginning at 9:15 a.m. daily at the Constitution Ave. and 14th St. entrance. There is a limit of four passes per person.

Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
