Holiday Skin Care Gifts Your Children Can Make

    There's still time for kids to make you a holiday gift that's good for your skin. Dr. Cheryl Burgess shares a few recipes for homemade skincare products, including an exfoliation scrub and a facial masque. (Published Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014)

    If you're looking for an easy gift that your children can make, Dr. Cheryl Burgess has some do-it-yourself beauty recipes that are good for your skin -- and your wallet.

    Exfoliating Scrub for the Face and Body:

    • 1.2 cup of raw sugar mixed with 1/2 cup of honey for dry skin
      or
    • 1/2 cup of sea salt mixed with 1/2 cup of honey for oily skin

    Facial Masque:

    • 1/2 cup Hershey's chocolate syrup mixed with 1/2 cup of plain Greek yogurt

    Moisturizing Conditioner for Dry Hair:

    • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil mixed with 1/2 cup of mayonnaise. Let set on the hair for 20 minutes.
