Howard County Farm City Celebration
Sept. 17-Oct. 2, multiple events
During the Farm City Celebration, Howard County farms encourage city slickers to experience rural life. The wide range of events include farmers markets, hay rides and the Farm City Celebration Weekend at Clark's Elioak Farm. Some events are free.
Children's Honey Harvest Day at Brookside Gardens
Sept. 17, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Buzz around at Brookside Garden’s Honey Harvest Day in Montgomery County,. Kids can watch beekeepers harvest honey and participate in bee themed activities. Free with registration.
Harvest Festival at the Agricultural History Farm Park
Oct. 1, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Celebrate the season with live farm animals, a corn maze, a hay ride, historic farming demonstrations and other harvest activities at the 25th annual Harvest Festival at the Agricultural History Farm Park in Montgomery County.
Calvert County Fair
Sept. 28-Oct. 2
The fun for kids never stops at the Calvert County Fair with carnival rides, youth day activities, fair food and plenty of animals. Some days are free!
Fall for Fairfax KidsFest
Oct. 1, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Oct. 2, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Stop by the Fairfax County Government Center for two stages of free entertainment, scarecrow making, pumpkin painting, pony rides, a petting zoo and more. The KidsFest is designed for families with elementary and pre-K aged children
Kids Euro Festival
Oct. 26-Nov. 6, multiple events
This two-week festival, hosted by the 28 European Union Member States, features performances, concerts, movies and other activities designed to expand kids' global understanding. Free admission.
