To help residents and emergency personnel stay connected during the storm, Comcast announced that it has opened its XFINITY Wi-Fi hotspots throughout the region to anyone who needs them, including those who are not XFINITY customers.
The offer is good where Comcast serves throughout the D.C. area, including Maryland, Virginia and into West Virginia. Comcast has done the same for the regions the company serves in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
A hotspot is a wireless access point that allows customers to connect to the internet on their wireless devices. The hotspots are located both indoors and outdoors.

Once at a hotspot, select the “xfinitywifi” network name in the list of available hotspots, then launch a browser.
XFINITY Internet customers can sign in with their username and password, and those who are not customers can visit the “Not an XFINITY Internet Customer” section on the sign-in page to access complimentary, renewable two hour sessions.
