“Game of Thrones” Star Emilia Clarke Talks Dragons!

Dragon eggs are bound to produce actual dragons eventually!

On Sunday's gripping season finale of HBO's "Game of Thrones," fans (who have not read George R.R. Martin's books, which the TV series is based on) were amazed to see the arrival of three young dragons – something series star Emilia Clarke hinted at when Access Hollywood spoke to her back in January.

"It's this amazing thing she has," she said of her character Daenerys Targaryen's three prized dragon eggs, which she placed in the fiery tomb of her late Dothraki warlord husband, Khal Drogo.

"You can't explain her connection to them. It's this whole other level. The way that she sees them, the way that she has this gut, intuitive feeling about these eggs that she's given," she told Access at the time.

"She's given the eggs on her wedding day and she knows that they symbolize something really huge," the 23-year-old actress explained. "Now dragons haven't been around for thousands and thousands of years. Just the dragon's eggs themselves are a very special, expensive, lavish gift that she has been given. But she has this thing, that I can't quite explain, but it's an intuitive attachment to these eggs from the get go."

Fans will have to wait until spring 2012 to find out if Daenerys' three young dragons help her ascend to the throne, when HBO's "Game of Thrones" returns for Season 2.
