TLC Announces Plans for New Kate Gosselin Series

It's official — Kate Gosselin is getting a new show on TLC.

Steve Cheskin, the head of Programming for the network, told reporters at the Television Critics Association panel on Thursday in Pasadena, Calif., that a project is in the works for the former "Plus 8" mom.

"I can tell you yes we are developing a new show with Kate," he confirmed.

Details of show, however, haven't fully been fleshed out.

"We don't know what show that is going to be," he added.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Kate was spotted in December with a camera crew filming her inside a Raleigh, N.C., restaurant, which TLC said at the time was part of the development process for the new series.

The final episode of "Jon & Kate Plus 8," the show which documented the lives of Jon and Kate Gosselin and their eight children – twins and sextuplets – aired in November, with more than 4.3 million viewers tuning in for the farewell.
