Listen Up: Alec Baldwin Has New Radio Show

"Here's The Thing" debuts with celebrity guest Michael Douglas

While Alec Baldwin keeps us guessing about his political future, he will definitely be talking politics on his new radio show.

In fact, he'll be talking about celebrities and the performing arts as well. Baldwin is preparing for life post-"30 Rock" with a New York public radio show called "Here's the Thing," debuting on Oct. 24, The Associated Press reports.

Baldwin's "number one" interest in creating the podcast "was to find a way where you could talk to people and you don't feel like you have an agenda, and they they wind up saying everything you hoped they would say," he told The New York Times.

The WNYC podcast series will be broadcasted every two weeks and aim to give "the listener unique entree into the lives of artists, policy makers and performers," WNYC describes on their website. Future interviewees include funnyman Chris Rock, political strategist Ed Rollins, actress Kathleen Turner and newlywed reality princess Kim Kardashian.

For its debut episode, WNYC teases Michael Douglas will open up about his father and his cancer diagnosis.

This isn't the award-winning actor's first time on radio. Baldwin also hosts "The New York Philharmonic This Week" on WQXR and has guest hosted "Studio 360 With Kurt Andersen."

As for his political ambitions? The outspoken Democrat told The New York Times it a political career is a possibility "at some point, but what I'm doing now has to end, and it's not ending yet. I'm still finding things I like tot do."
