Actress Mischa Barton says she's fine now, but back in July, dental surgery sent her on a downward spiral.

Now that Mischa Barton is back to work, it appears she's gotten used to her new surroundings quite nicely.

While in New York City shooting her new CW show, "The Beautiful Life," which is set to premiere this fall, the actress took time to hit up her blog to profess her love for the Big Apple, with a post titled "Loving It Here In NYC!"

"I've been fully immersed in production on my upcoming show 'The Beautiful Life' and I've been loving every minute of it. I have my dogs Charlie and Ziggy with me here so I've been hanging with them in my downtime, as well as hitting the gym as often as I can," Barton wrote.

As well as filming on location in New York, Barton is also back on the celebrity scene – appearing at a number of high profile events – a change from the last couple years where she has been more quiet and less public.

"I have the series premiere party coming up on September 12, followed by the post-Top Model series launch on September 16, the same night as the show's premiere," she continued of her busy schedule. "Thereafter, I get a little break until October 19 when I co-host an event with Versace at the Whitney Museum which I am absolutely thrilled about!!!"

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Barton was hospitalized in July and held under an involuntary pscychiatric hold.

Following her release from the hospital, the actress told Time Out New York it was the stress of having her wisdom teeth removed that led to her stay.

"Here's what happened: Before the show started, I was traveling abroad for contract stuff and I went through a terrible surgery — a wisdom tooth surgery, all four removed. It was a nightmare," the actress explained. "I've never had surgery before — it all went wrong and I had to have a second surgery and it almost delayed shooting because it was a nightmare to me, because I couldn't deal with the thought of not getting there on time. So with the travel, and surgery and prep for the show — it was hell."
