”Oprah” Stunt Leaves Mark on Hugh Jackman

Hunky actor one of daytime diva's guests for Aussie tour

Hugh Jackman's grand entrance on the Oprah Show left him a little busted up.

The Australian actor was injured performing a stunt during the taping of an Oprah Winfrey Show at the Sydney Opera house. Jackman slid down a cable from the top of the building to an outdoor stage when he crashed into a light rig, suffering a minor gash to his face and a black eye in a stunt captured on live TV.

"That was so much fun, until the end," the "Wolverine" actor quipped. He gamely went on with his sitdown with the daytime diva, holding ice to his face while he chatted.

"I came down waving to everyone, looking over Sydney Harbor, saw my dad, the kids, and you (Oprah), went to pull the brake and then boing," the actor said.

Winfrey is in Australia producing two TV chat shows, with Australian guests such as Jackman, Russell Crowe, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban and Olivia Newton John. She brought an entourage of more than 300 to the Land Down Under.

Winfrey's American guests have also filmed their travels around Australia to the Outback and the Great Barrier Reef. Their video journals will be part of the shows that will air later in the United States.
