Lady Gaga is unfairly putting the brakes on a line of big-eyed Bratz dolls in her image, a new $10 million lawsuit from a doll maker claims.

MGA Entertainment Inc. sued the pop superstar and her management and merchandising companies Tuesday in New York state court, claiming they halted production on the Gaga dolls in breach of a contract they'd already inked.

The plaintiff company alleged in its suit that it had agreed back in December to pay a $1 million advance fee with expectations of shipping the product to merchants this summer to prepare for the holiday selling season.

But according to the suit, in April, Lady Gaga and her management company denied final approval of the dolls in order to postpone production and shipment until the pop star’s album release in 2013, Bloomberg News reported.

“Defendants’ conduct is egregious, in bad faith and is pretextual,” MGA Entertainment alleged in the complaint.

A rep for Lady Gaga said she hasn't seen the complaint.

“This is a dispute between Universal Music Group’s merchandising company and MGA,” the spokeswoman told Bloomberg News. “There was no legitimate reason for dragging Lady Gaga into that dispute.”

In the complaint, MGA Entertainment claimed the line of Gaga dolls would have brought in an estimated $28 million in revenue for the fall 2012 retail season.
