KISS Offers Kids a Glimpse of Real Rock and Roll

Rock group KISS is enlisting some new members into its army: children.

On their current North American tour, the rockers are offering free lawn tickets for up to four children with each paying adult, Billboard.com reported. The band is donating $1 from each ticket to the Wounded Warrior foundation.

Founding member Gene Simmons told Billboard that the band hopes to demonstrate to kids “that there's another world out there besides Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers. It's important for them to see how the big boys do it. It's important for the kids to see that whatever you see on stage is real. We want to spread this. I'm insulted by any act that goes up there with dancers and tapes."

Billboard also reported that an animated show is in the works that will feature the KISS members as characters. Simmons hopes the program will broadcast in the coming months.
