“Jersey Shore” Star's Rap Single Draws Ire of Anti-Rape Organization

And to think, Vinny Guadagnino was supposed to be the "smart" one in the house.

Wasn't Vinny Guadagnino supposed to be the "smart" one in the "Jersey Shore" house?

He may have to relinquish his title after posting a rap single on YouTube that angered members of RAINN - the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network - because of its offensive lyrics.

In the extremely explicit song called "Vinny Rack City Mix," Guadagnino describes having sex with a stripper and "actin' like I'm raping it." The YouTube post immediately got swarmed with comments attacking Guadagnino, forcing him to remove the video.

After taking the video down, Guadagnino Tweeted, "Whoa! Some people really know how to take things out of context! ... It was fun though!"

A representative for RAINN, talking to TMZ, expressed their organization's concerns, saying, "The lyrics in Vinny Guadagnino's new rap song that glorify rape are ignorant. Trivializing this violent crime sends a dangerous message to the public."

"We hope that Mr. Guadagnino will reconsider his stand on this issue and leverage his platform to reinforce a zero tolerance policy for sexual violence, as he has with bullying."

Guadagnino recently shot a video for the "It Gets Better" anti-bullying campaign.

In response, Guadagnino Tweeted, "I felt like being a naughty boy and rapping like a G. Ladies I still love you." He then decided to take the matter a bit more seriously, adding, "Sorry for offensive rap.I'm 100% against violence & work with many organizations to stop it. Will continue to do so."

The attempt at an apology did little to appease RAINN, who told E! News: "While we recognize Mr. Guadagnino feels remorseful, we urge him to go a step beyond a one-off-twitter apology. We ask that he take action to stand up for victims of sexual violence by connecting them with the help they deserve through the National Sexual Assault Online Hotline at rainn.org."
