Cleveland Park Block Eclipsed by Twihards

Hundreds of devout "Twilight" fans now have a reason to make their fellow Team Edward and Team Jacob members, like, totally jealous. They got to see "Eclipse" on the big screen two days before everyone else.

But it's hard to visualize just who everyone else could be, seeing as how the line to get into the advance screening swallowed up several blocks of Connecticut Avenue outside of the Uptown Theater in Cleveland Park on Monday night. Twihards (and those who love them) were lined up as early as 2:30 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. showing.

There wasn't an exact figure on how many vampire-and-werewolf-loving fans were there by late Monday, but a press release for the screening anticipated a turnout of 800 "'Twilight' fanatics."

Some passersby were seen staring in disbelief and confusion at the massive crowd. But fortunately, for those who just don't get the "Twilight" craze, one young fan broke it down for us in a very simple, exceedingly eloquent way:

"It's the meaning of the first love and being able to get through anything, no matter how many obstacles are in your way, that keeps people coming back, I think," said super-cute tween Gabby Delpo. "And, um, Rob Pattinson."
