ROBIN WILLIAMS

'The Shining' Star Shelley Duvall Discusses Mental Illness Battle on Dr. Phil

The actress also said she believes her life is being threatened by a fictional character from Robin Hood.

Film audiences were terrified with Shelley Duvall in 1980 horror classic "The Shining," and fell in love with her live screen portrayal of Olive Oyl in "Popeye" playing opposite Robin Williams that same year.

But the actress faded from view in the past decade, before resurfacing on Dr. Phil to detail her ongoing battle with mental illness.

In a teaser trailer from the upcoming episode, Duvall tells Dr. Phil she doesn't believe Williams is dead and that she continues to see him.

Williams committed suicide in 2014.

Duvall also believes her life is in danger and that the man who threatens her is the Sheriff of Nottingham, the fictional character from "Robin Hood."

The 67-year-old actress, who's last film was 2002's "Manna from Heaven," does tell Dr. Phil she realizes that she's sick and "needs help."

Dr. Phil’s new book addresses different ways to spot “bad people in your life,” as well as how to win in your own life. He believes that the world we live in can be harmful to children who use the Internet, so Dr. Phil discusses what parents need to teach to their children.

The episode airs on Nov. 18.
