“Ellen”: Sandra Bullock Reveals She “Cried a Lot” on Mother's Day

Mother's Day is supposed to be a happy holiday, but for Sandra Bullock it was very emotional.

The "Minions" actress revealed that she spent a lot of the day crying instead of laughing, but fortunately they were "happy tears." Bullock appeared on Monday's "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and dished that the love she has for her son, Louis, is overwhelming.

"It was so much. I just cry at anything now. I feel like, I mean I didn't have him that way, but I feel like hormonally," she said, referencing Louis' adoption. But things got really emotional when her five-and-a-half year old told her he wrote her a song as her present for the special day.

"But everything he does [makes me cry]," she continued. "He sang me a song that he wrote. He said I wrote you a song, and I didn't have the heart to tell him he plagiarized. But it was you know, 'Bingo.' You know 'Bingo' the song."

When host DeGeneres doesn't immediately recognize the classic children's tune, People magazine's "World's Most Beautiful" explained, "Well the song was about you know, there was a man who had a dog and bingo was his name-o. There was a mom I love so much and Sandy was her name-o. I'm just like ahhhh. And then he played the harmonica in between and then he just kept looking at me."

"He sounds like he has a great personality," DeGeneres says.

"Yeah he's all boy with a really tender heart," Bullock adds.

The "Miss Congeniality" star also revealed that she took her son back to New Orleans for Mardis Gras (he's originally from the Louisiana city), and the host can't believe it given the festival's naughty nature. "You took him to Mardi Gras. What kind of mother are you?" DeGeneres joked.

"I think a good one. I think if you're gonna learn, you're gonna learn," Bullock replied.

"Those are called breasts son," Ellen quipped.
