Ronda Rousey Knocks Out the Blizzard to Host ‘Saturday Night Live'

With the blizzard somewhat done blanketing the East Coast, Tina Fey returned to 'Saturday Night Live' for one of her more memorable characters: former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

And just like the real Palin, Fey's remarks in the cold opening were sometimes as incoherent as the former governor' speech during her endorsement of Donald Trump.

Whether she was taking shots at President Obama, the media, and rallying Americans to challenge the mainstream, Fey's opening was a knockout punch.

Delivering lines like:

"Heads are spinning, Trump can kicks ISIS ass because he commands: Fire!" , "And May God bless some of the United States of America," to "Guess what  America? I don't think this guy should be president. i'm just here because he promised me a spot in his cabinet, and I belong in a cabnet, because I'm full of spice and I got a great rack."

For her monologue, UFC star Ronda Rousey came-out of her self-imposed exile and like a champ poked fun at herself. She began by saying it was the first time she had been on television without getting punch in the face.

Back in November,  Rousey badly loss her much anticipated fight with former boxer Holly Holm.  Rousey added that Holms deserved to win the fight, and played off the rumors that she might have had brain damage from her injuries.

Rousey's first skecth was a high school love story where she is on a date with the school's most popular guy. But she soon discovers that the date was fake, and as the mean girls try to humilitate her, Rousey does what she does best: kick, punch, and hit.

In an homage to the movie Carrie, Rousey's character does not hold back in lashing out her revenge.  As the popular girl taunts her, Rousey let's her fists and kicks do the talking. Kicks that even in a comedy sketch take the air out of your lungs.

Musical guest Selena Gomez also tested her acting skills by being a contestant on 'Bland Man'. Unlike the other women, Gomez walked away with the 'bachelor' by simply being herself.

A performance by Selena Gomez.
