Matt Damon Spotted at Tufts University Gym

Josh Morris, a senior at Tufts, posted a selfie with Damon on his Instagram page on Wednesday

Matt Damon headed back to school — for a workout that is.

The "Good Will Hunting" star, who famously dropped out of Harvard to pursue a career in acting, surprised students at Tufts University when he stopped by the school's gym Wednesday with a friend.

The 46-year-old Oscar winner made use of the Steve Tisch Sports and Fitness Center at the university's Medford/Somerville campus while donning a gray Boston Red Sox shirt and Patriots hat.

Josh Morris, a senior at the Boston school, posted a selfie with Damon on his Instagram page, noting that he "almost didn't lift today, but now glad that I did."

After working up a sweat, Damon also posed for a picture with some members of Tufts University's women's field hockey team.

Damon is a local boy, having grown up in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It was recently announced that he will narrate a documentary about the Boston Marathon titled "Boston."

"Boston" premieres in its namesake city on April 15, two days before the 121st running of America's most venerable footrace. It will be screened in 500 theaters nationwide starting April 19.
