Lawyer Claims ‘Jersey Shore' Star Michael ‘The Situation' Sorrentino Didn't Pay Him

The former attorney of "Jersey Shore" star Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino says he withdrew from the reality TV personality's tax fraud case because the 34-year-old failed to pay for his services.

The Asbury Park Press reports Sorrentino's trial was delayed and the Manalapan Township resident was given until Oct. 14 to resolve the issue.

Attorney Richard Sapinski says he entered into a fee agreement with Sorrentino for representation in his federal tax-evasion case, but that he never received payment.

Sapinksi said "there is no reasonable expectation" that Sorrentino can cover the bill.

Sapinski's request to withdraw from the case was approved last month.

Sorrentino and his brother, Marc, both pleaded not guilty to charges that they failed to pay all of the taxes due on $8.9 million in income.
