Disney World Guests Wait Up to 5 Hours for New ‘Frozen' Ride

The new ride featuring characters from the 2013 global phenomenon, opened Tuesday

How long are you willing to wait to experience more "Frozen" madness?

If you're at Disney World today, you'd better be willing to wait for a long, long time.

Not only are fans getting a new "Frozen" story in the form of a book and a TV show next month, but Frozen: Ever After, the new ride featuring characters from the 2013 global phenomenon, opened up at Disney World on Tuesday.

Located at Epcot in the Norwegian pavilion, the attraction takes visitors on a boat tour through the Arendelle kingdom, where Queen Elsa is using her magic powers to create a "winter in summer" day for her people. Guests also get to check out Troll Valley and Elsa's Ice Palace before meeting the royal sisters themselves in their new countryside cabin.

Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad and the rest of the cast recorded new dialogue and musical numbers just for the ride.

So, that all sounds cool, right? Of course. Hope you don't mind waiting 300 minutes. That's right, 300 minutes. As in five hours.

Though it's an insane amount of time to stand in line, it's not the least bit surprising that Disney World visitors are doing just that. Parents who are on hour three of their wait time just so your kids can ride through Arendelle, we salute you.

And because it's a soft opening, the ride does have some issues. According to social media, Frozen: Ever After has been breaking down periodically, which might be why the wait time is astronomically high. But at least park employees are handing out ice cream bars to the masses.

To anyone thinking about checking out the new ride over the next few months, good luck. And by the time you get through the ride, maybe "Frozen 2" will already be out in theaters.
