Black Sabbath Tops Billboard 200 for 1st Time

The band is still rocking out after more than 40 years.

It took them about 40 years to make it, but they did.

Black Sabbath finally topped the Billboard 200 album chart for the first time Monday, more than four decades into their career. Their new album "13" took the number one spot, reigning over new albums by Daft Punk and Justin Timberlake.

The group shared their excitement on Twitter with a photo of the Billboard 200 list.

All the band's original members played on "13" except Bill Ward, the group's drummer. Brad Wilk, the drummer for Rage Against the Machine, took Ward's place instead.

Lead singer Ozzy Osbourne said he hopes that Ward will be able to work out contract disputes with the group before they work on another album.

"It won't take another 24 years. I'm 65 now. There's no (expletive) recording studios in the afterlife," Osbourne told NBC News.

The band plans to begin a 20-city tour starting July 25.
