Scoop: Boyle’s Wardrobe Goof is No Dream

This isn’t a dream for Susan Boyle — she really did have a wardrobe malfunction at an Oct. 22 soccer match.
It was nothing on the level of Janet Jackson’s 2004 Super Bowl malfunction, however. The Scottish singer's pants appeared slightly undone as she waved a scarf over her head in support of her team, Celtic, at a match against Hamburg. The incident took place when Boyle was drawing the name of the game’s lottery winner.
Boyle hasn’t commented on the incident, but it just might fall under the category of all press is good press. Her upcoming debut album, “I Dreamed a Dream,” due out Nov. 23, is already Amazon’s biggest pre-order album in the history of the site's music store.
Amazon didn’t release the exact number of preorder sales, but said “Dream” outranked previous pre-order records set by Norah Jones, U2, and Bruce Springsteen.
Madonna and kids arrive in Malawi
Making good on her promise to return to Malawi and see through the charity efforts she began there, Madonna and her kids Lourdes, Rocco, David and Mercy arrived in the African country Oct. 25, according to officials there.
The Material Girl arrived via commercial flight on Ethiopian Airlines, and is in the country for a groundbreaking for a school for girls scheduled for Oct. 26. The school will be funded by Madonna’s Raising Malawi charity, and will be “similar to Oprah’s school in South Africa,” according to some familiar with plans.
No ‘Normal’ weekend at the box office
“Paranormal Activity” has ceased being a normal surprise hit. Four weeks after opening on only 12 screens, the low-budget horror flick killed at the box office again, besting “Saw VI” and coming in at No. 1.
“Paranormal Activity” opened this weekend in 1,945 theaters and brought in $22 million, while the No. 2 “Saw VI” made only $14.8 million—and that’s with an opening across 3,036 theaters.
Paramount, the studio that released “Activity,” had some news that can be filed under “surprising, not.”
“We have the rights on a worldwide basis to do ‘Paranormal 2’ and we’re looking to see if that makes sense,” Paramount chairman Brad Grey said in interviews.
