A special prosecutor says state agents have finished their investigation of two eastern Ohio police chiefs accused of doing celebrity digging for a tabloid.

The agents have been looking into allegations that the chiefs entered a home in May to obtain information about a woman carrying twins for actors Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick. The surrogate mother gave birth in June.

Prosecutor Shawn Hervey tells a newspaper in Martins Ferry, The Times Leader, that he expects to present the findings next week to a grand jury, which will consider whether charges should be filed. Hervey didn't immediately return messages left by The Associated Press.

The police chiefs, who are from Martins Ferryand Bridgeport, have declined to comment.
