Kate set to tape second interview since breakup

Kate says she still loves a part of Jon -- but probably not the part that calls her "constantly annoying."
Kate Gosselin will steer clear of such "tabloid talk" in a new interview, one day after emotional appearances on NBC's "Today" show and on a new episode of "Jon & Kate Plus 8" that laid bare the reality show star's pain and vulnerability since her split from hubby Jon.
On Monday, the 34-year-old mother of eight tearfully described to “Today” host Meredith Viera a sense of “failure” for allowing her marriage to disintegrate. She said she still loved “a part of Jon,” but his post-breakup gallivanting with various gal pals was “hurtful.” She also explained that she continued to wear her wedding band because she didn’t want to upset her children.
Jon Gosselin took the high road and canceled a planned response to Kate's interview.
Kate Gosselin will stop by ABC's "Live with Regis and Kelly" today for another televised chat set to air Thursday, sources told the New York Daily News.
"Unlike the topics she discussed on the "Today" show, Kate will be keeping the conversation light and fun on 'Regis and Kelly,'" a source told the News. "She will tape in front of a live audience and will be focusing more on the show and promoting the new season."
But there's no escaping family drama on "Jon & Kate" either.
Last night's episode featured Kate vacationing with her kids at a beach in North Carolina and coping with Jon's absence.
"I can do the best I can do for my kids... but I can never make up for him,”she said, Usmagazine.com reported. “I can't make up for the fact that he's not here. It's difficult."
Meanwhile, Jon Gosselin stayed home and was shown overseeing kitchen renovations while sporting studs in his ears.
“[It’s] always the way I express myself,” he told his twins, who returned from vacation early for school and asked about his pierced ears. “Things are coming out a lot more now. This is who I am."
The new Jon also couldn’t resist a dig at Kate. He said he was glad to be home alone because his ex would have been “yelling that there’s a mess … constantly annoying.”
