Jon Gosselin may be unlucky in love -- but he was not dumped from his popular TLC reality show.

The reality TV dad and star of "Jon & Kate Plus 8" may have seen his role downsized after months of speculation that his months of booze-fueled partying ways had tarnished his squeaky clean image a wholesome family man -- but he was not kicked off, his rep said.

"He was not fired," rep Mike Heller told Usmagazine.com.

The cable network said yesterday the show would go on -- but the focus of the show, now called "Kate Plus Eight," will be on Jon's soon-to-be-ex-wife Kate as a single mother raising eight kids. Jon will appear occasionally on the show, the network said.

"Given the recent changes in the family dynamics, it only makes sense for us to refresh and recalibrate the program to keep pace with the family," Eileen O'Neill, TLC's president and general manager, said yesterday.

"Jon's going to be involved in the show."

The couple's crumbling marriage became tabloid fodder for months as rumors of infidelity swirled and photos emerged of Jon with a revolving door of women at late night hot spots everywhere from the Hamptons to the French Riviera.

Jon, saying he regretted how he treated Kate, filed papers to stall the divorce for 90 days in order to give him time to "regain control over the future of our family," he told In Touch magazine.

"I regret my conduct since Kate and I separated," he said. "I used poor judgment in publicly socializing with other women so soon."

Gosselin's lawyer, Mark Jay Heller, told In Touch magazine that Jon "woke up one morning, looked in the mirror and didn't like the reflection."
