George Clooney may be a silver fox -- but he is worried by his graying hair.

"I'm old," Clooney, 48, told The Telegraph (U.K.)  “It’s an interesting thing to watch yourself grow older on screen. I was watching 'Up in The Air' and thought, 'Jesus, who's that old gray-haired guy?' And it was me. I never wear makeup for movies and now it's starting to show.'"

"I'm going through this thing with people thinking I'm about 60," he told the paper.

Clooney -- the star of rom-com "Up in the Air" and the voice of the main character in Wes Anderson's first animated film "The Fantastic Mr. Fox" -- was promoting his latests projects at the London Film Festival.

Though he said it was difficult to watch himself get older on screen, the hunky actor said he's getting used to it.

“But I’m kind of comfortable with getting older because it’s better than the other option, which is being dead,” he told the Telegraph.

The actor also stars in "The Men Who Stare At Goats," which was screened at the Festival.

"Up In the Air," written and directed by Jason Reitman, Clooney plays a downsizing expert who travels the country, spends his life in hotels, airports and rental cars. As he nears his goal of 10 million miles his lifestyle is threatened by a young efficiency expert.

"The Men Who Stare At Goats" is based on the book by British journalist Jon Ronson who tells a true story of US military unit training “psychic spies.” The movie co-stars Ewan McGregor, Jeff Bridges and Kevin Spacey and was produced by Clooney and his partner Grant Heslov, who also directed the film.
