If it’s true that there’s no such thing as bad publicity, Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson should sell plenty of children’s books.
Since video surfaced of the duchess admittedly offering to sell access to ex-hubby Prince Andrew for more than $700,000, Fergie has had tongues wagging and the white hot lights of the press trained on her.
Later this month, during the weekend of June 26-27, Fergie will bring plenty of paparazzi to the American Library Association's annual conference taking place at the Washington Convention Center, according to CarolJoynt.com. Her appearance is designed to help launch a new children’s book series. The series, called Helping Hand books, will offer tips to parents and children about a variety of experiences as they grow up.
The duchess, who is a best-selling author of children’s books, has continued her book tour despite all the “publicity” she’s gotten recently. On Tuesday, Fergie offered another explanation for her untoward offer of access to Prince Andrew. She said she was drinking during the sting, was “in the gutter” and wasn’t thinking clearly, she told Oprah Winfrey.
Fergie’s scheduled appearance at the library convention takes place at 8 a.m. We can only assume that she'll be thinking clearly at that hour.
