Comedian Patrice O'Neal, who was a featured performer at Comedy Central Roasts, including the most recent feting of Charlie Sheen, has reportedly suffered a stroke.
Friend and fellow comedian Jim Norton announced O'Neal's condition during an appearence on the "Opie and Anthony" radio show this morning.
"We don't know how he is. We don't know how he's going to be," said Norton. "I didn't want to do this by myself. I wish we had more news for you."
Norton claims O'Neal suffered the stroke last week.
The radio hosts then posted a message on their Facebook page an encouraged fans to send their thoughts and get-well wishes to O'Neal.
"Our close friend Patrice O'Neal suffered a stroke last week. Please respect his family and their request for privacy. An email has been set up for fans to send him well wishes and his family will make sure he gets them. You can write to LoveForPatrice@gmail.com. When we have an update on his condition, we will let you all know."
O'Neal and Norton were also close friends and frequent collaborators (on shows such as "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn") with comedian Greg Giraldo, who passed away suddenly last year at the age of 44.
