"American Pie" actor Chris Klein is extending his stay in the Utah alcohol rehab facility he entered after getting a DUI last month.

"Chris, along with his support team, has decided to extend his treatment," his rep Jaime Primak told People magazine. "He is doing fantastic and is optimistic about his future. He thanks everyone for their continued support."

Klein entered the Cirque Lodge in Utah June 21 after he was arrested for his second DUI on June 16 in Los Angeles. He was stopped by the California Highway Patrol after being seen weaving westbound on the Hollywood Freeway.

Law enforcement sources said at the time his blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit of .08.
