Non-Profits Can Apply for 21st Century Solutions Grants Starting June 6

Local non-profit organizations can apply for this year’s 21st Century Solutions Challenge Grant beginning on Monday, June 6.

The grants, sponsored by NBC4 and NBCUniversal Foundation, offer support to proposals for innovative programs in the following categories: media arts, technology, civic engagement, jobs and economic empowerment, education and environment.

Last year, NBC4 awarded three grants to non-profit organizations in the area. Free Minds Book Club and Writing Workshop, which works to help young men acclimate to life after incarceration, earned a $50,000 grant.

Miriam’s Kitchen, which strives to end homelessness, and Arch Development Corporation, which promotes local artists and entrepreneurs, each earned $25,000 grants.

For more information on eligibility requirements, check back on or after June 6.
