Walk to End HIV

All money raised goes to support the HIV programs and services of Whitman-Walker Health.

NBC4 and News4’s Eun Yang and Aaron Gilchrist participated in the Walk to End HIV. This fundraising walk and 5K timed run benefits Whitman-Walker Health, a non-profit, community-based health organization which provides health care to those infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS.

The Walk to End HIV will begin and end at Freedom Plaza, at Pennsylvania Avenue and 13th Street in northwest D.C. Same-day registration and other activities begin at 7 a.m., with an uplifting program of music, speakers and warm-up exercises taking place at 8:15 a.m.

The 5K timed run begins promptly at 9:15 a.m., and the Walk to End HIV steps off at 9:20 a.m.

Stick around for a post-Walk celebration with great musical performances and recognition of the top fundraising individuals and teams at 10 a.m.!
