Bobby Blue Bland Headlines 20th Annual Bluebird Blues Festival

Free event features legendary performers and activities for all ages

The 20th annual Bluebird Blues Festival is coming up Saturday, Sept. 22!

From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Prince George's Community College, you'll find legendary performers and activities for all ages.

Headliner Bobby Blue Bland -- an inductee of the Blues Foundation's Hall of Fame and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame -- has had nearly two dozen Top 10 hits on the Billboard R&B charts, including “Farther Up the Road,” “I'll Take Care of You,” “I Pity the Fool” and “Turn On Your Love Light.”

Other main stage performers are set to include renowned blues musician Clarence Carter, famous for "Love Me with a Feeling"; Baltimore’s Sonnytils' Orioles; guitar blues legend Bobby Parker, and Yahzarah, R&B vocalist and former background singer for Erykah Badu, noted for “Love Come Save the Day.”

Live entertainment, children’s activities, music workshops, food and crafts will round out the day.
