It's going to be a weekend of block parties, carnival rides and beer tastings in downtown Salisbury Maryland, April 27-29.
The free Salisbury Festival (E. Main and Division streets, Salisbury, Md.), is kicking off the festivities this Friday from 4 to 11 p.m. with a block party featuring music by Willow Brook and PICNIC.
Other festivities in Salisbury include carnival rides, a 5k run/walk, a marketplace featuring vendors along E. Main Street, a car show, and Arts on the Plaza.
Besides the carnival rides good for all ages, adults can revel in the craft beer tasting Saturday at Riverwalk Park from 2 to 6 p.m. Tastings include 30 craft beers from around the world and souvenir glass. Tickets are $30 per person.
Also on Saturday, the little ones can bring their own teddy bears for the Teddy Bear Tea Party. Pre-registration is required for the tea party; call 410-749-0144 to register.
Saturday hours are 10 a.m.-10 p.m.; Sunday hours are noon-5 p.m.
Salisbury, Md., is located two and half hours from the D.C. area.
