Power Plant Lights Up the Night

Baltimore Sun

A rendering of Power Plant's light show -- one part of the new holiday event series It's a Waterfront Life. Handout photo by Kevin Weber.

Every night through Dec. 31 in Baltimore, Power Plant Live! will be lighting up the harbor with their Holiday Light Show Spectacular. This free event features laser shows, music, fireworks (after 9 p.m.) and projections on the Power Plant building -- this is a must-do for photo snappers.

The event is part of the "It's a Waterfront Life" event series, which features family-friendly events along the Inner Harbor.

Shows are times are nightly at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights, an additional show at 9 p.m. will include fireworks. Discounted holiday parking is available for $3 in Harbor East.

If you go on Saturday, Dec. 10, you can also swing by another holiday extravaganza,  Rock the Dock (1-5 p.m.) at the Inner Harbor. Go for special holiday giveaways, games, food and drinks, and -- of course -- live music. You'll even have the chance to help decorate the Christmas tree that everyone can "rock" around.
