Unleash your inner artist at Ellicott City. For four days, the downtown streets will be filled with painters for the annual Paint It event.
From July 5 to 9, set up your easel along the historic streets of Ellicott City with other like-minded artists to paint the town as you see it.
An exhibit July 9 at the Howard County Center for the Arts (8510 High Ridge Road, Ellicott City, Md.) will showcase all the paintings from the week, including an awards ceremony for Best in Show. The paintings will remain at the Arts Center throughout July.
You can paint one day or every day -- it's your choice, but you'll need to register for every day that you paint to be eligible for an award at the reception. There is a one-time registration fee of $10 per painter.
