We heard you like festivals, so we added some festivals to your festival.

At least that's the idea behind this year's Heart of Virginia Festival in Farmville, Va., about three hours south of D.C.

This day-long festival, set for Saturday, May 5, features events and activities throughout the day with a grand finale of fireworks at night.

The food festival (intersection of Main and High streets) will dish up seafood, international fare, desserts and barbecue.

The children's festival (11 a.m.-3 p.m.) offers puppet shows, live music, magic shows and craftmaking. Each kiddo will receive a gift after every performance or event.

Car enthusiasts will enjoy a cruise-in classic car show. An outdoor art show will have artists competing for a $2,000 best-in-show prize. A 10K/5K fun walk is also part of the festivities and kicks off at 8 a.m.
