With the exception of apple pie, we can't think of anything more American than a good ol' fashioned rodeo.

The Lone Star Rodeo brings its Bulls, Broncs and Barrels Tour this weekend to the Wocomico Center (500 Glen Ave., Salisbury, Md., about 120 miles from downtown DC), kicking off at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Watch the live action of bareback broncos, bull riding and antics of our favorite, the rodeo clown. Where else can you witness the bulls and blood, dust and mud and the roar of a Sunday crowd? (Thanks, Garth Brooks.)
Kids under 10 will be invited down to the floor to take part in pre-show events and to meet cowboys and cowgirls. You'll also see top-notch stock and lots of pageantry. If anything, you should just go to see folks wearing cowboy boots and chaps. It could be a nice change for you.
Advance general admission is $10 per night; VIP (lower level) is $22 per night.
Worth the Trip
Can't make it this weekend? No worries. The venue welcomes montster trucks the weekend after, and you know that'll be entertaining.
