Bring those reusable bags and choose from fruits and veggies at the peak of their season, plus premium local meats, baked goods, plants and soaps. More than 40 vendors are on site each Saturday -- in terms of farmers' markets, this is a big one.
The market meanders through the City Hall parking lot (300 Park Ave., Falls Church, Va.) and along well-shaded streets, featuring chefs' demos and casual live music on some weeks. If you're ISO a good drum circle, this could be your chance!
The chef demo series brings in chefs from local restaurants to offer up new and special recipes showcasing the Mid-Atlantic's best seasonal food options.
Worth the Trip
Each chef will prepare 2-3 dishes over a two -hour period while you get to ask questions and share ideas to add to the recipe. After, tastings of each dish will be shared throughout the morning.
The market is open 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday. Falls Church City Hall is 10 miles west of downtown D.C.
