The Juniata Riverfest (S. Juniata St., Lewistown, Pa.) throws an early Independence Day celebration on Saturday, June 30. Head north for community river floats, fireworks, music and more.
Bring your kayaks and canoes ('cause you totally have them, right?) for this all-day waterfest happening near the banks of the Juniata River. The event is free, and features a river raft race, a community float and fireworks to cap the night off.
The musical portion, Rockin' by the River, kicks off at noon in Victory Park with an "American Idol"-style contest. One winner will have the bragging rights to be called the Riverfest Idol when it's all said and done.
