There's Still Punkin Chunkin to Be Had

Sandy has passed, the Bay Bridge is back open and the Punkin Chunkin World Championship in Delaware is still happening.

During the weekend of Nov. 2-4, pumpkin chuckers from across the nation come together for three days to show off their homemade contraptions to be crowned the next... (enter echo reverb) Pumpkin Chunkin champion of the wooorrrllldd!!!

Competitors will launch their leftover Halloween pumpkins from trebuchets and air cannons. Thousands of spectators have gathered to watch the sad fate of these harmless pumpkins since 1986.

You'll also find a chili cookoff, cooking contest and the crowning of Miss Punkin Chunkin. Fancy!

Tickets will run you $10 per day; parking is included. The event is located about two hours from D.C. at Royal Farms (18657 Sussex Highway, Bridgeville, Del.).

For all you supah starz who attend, look for yourselves during the event's broadcast this Thanksgiving on the Discovery Channel.
