The Insider Wine Advantage at Pimlico Races

Appreciate the joy of equine life (and, well, wine) with an infielder view at the second annual Decanter Wine Festival at Pimlico (5201 Park Heights Ave. Baltimore, Md.).

On Saturday and Sunday, April 21-22, you can get an infield view of live horse racing along with wine tastings from the 20+ wineries attending the festival. Pimlico, which is home to the Preakness Stakes, will be transformed into a wine and food extravaganza featuring artisan food and crafts, plus the opportunity to buy specialty foods at the event.

Wineries attending include Elk Run, Terrapin and Boordy vineyards along with vendors such as the grilled Cheese & Company (yummo!) and Sherries Crab Cakes.

General admission is $30 and includes infield location, samples of select wines and all services under white tents. The Decanter Pass ($50) includes all of the above plus a Reidel wine glass, samples of Decanter wine from each winery and a six bottle carrying bag.

Enjoy the area a little longer with a night's stay at the Pier 5 Hotel or The Inn at Henderson's Wharf
