DC Restaurant Week Extended After Blizzard; Alexandria Restaurant Week Begins Friday

It's that time again! D.C.'s Restaurant Week is here, and Alexandria's is coming up, with discounts on lunches and dinners at dozens of local spots.

Due to the blizzard we're still slowly digging out of, D.C.'s Restaurant Week has been extended through Feb. 3, with three-course, prix-fixe lunches for $22 and and dinners for $35.

An eye-popping variety of restaurants -- more than 200 -- includes not just District spots but also Maryland and Virginia ones as well. Some popular participating eateries include 1789, Birch and Barley, Dino's Grotto, Policy and Smith & Wollensky. Some restaurants may have delayed openings due to snow. (See the full list here.)
