March Madness: Cornhole Tourney Edition

Cornhole isn't just a game for casual drinkers (despite the silly terms used in the game) or small town folks tailgating outside a NASCAR event -- it can be used for charitable purposes by city folk as well.

Sunday, March 25 at the Arlington Gateway Park (1300 Lee Highway, Arlington) join fellow cornholios (proper?) for a day of charity, beer sipping and raffle prizes at the A-SPAN Victory Cornhole tournament.

Gather a few friends for the challenging but friendly competition -- all in the name of charitable giving by the means of cornhole. Besides the tourney, other fun and random games will be played throughout the day, as well as individual skills competitions.

There will be food to eat, beer to drink, raffles to be won and live music to be heard. The tournament raises money for the Arlington Street People Association Network -- and it's just a fun reason to get out enjoy the weather.

The first-place prize is $300; second place nets $200.

The event runs noon to 4 p.m.All ages are welcome.
