You won't be able to get through this one without a lot of squeeing.
The annual Chincoteague Pony Swim is set for Wednesday, July 25. Watch as the Saltwater Cowboys get wild ponies swimming from Assateague to Chincoteague Island.
Starting on July 21, about 150 wild ponies will be rounded up to prevent overcrowding and and lack of food for the remaining animals. The departing ponies will be herded to the Southern Corral where the public can view these majestic creatures just off the beach.
On July 25, they'll swim across the Assateague Channel (7427 Memorial Park Drive, Chincoteague Island, Va.) from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Viewing is best on a boat
, and we recommeond getting a early start to your day because this is a very popular event.
After the swim, the ponies will parade down Main Street on their way to the carnival grounds, where they will be evenutally put up for sale at auction.
You know how you ceaselessly begged your parents for a pony while growing up? This could be your chance at true happiness.
