New Quirky T-Shirt Source! (Plus Drinks)

Art and Fashion Collide Underground

Put on something unique and celebrate your... uniqueness with other unique people at Slip Into the Underground in Richmond. OK, maybe we've overused that word a bit. Nonetheless, the pair of free shows -- one art, one fashion -- spotlights Richmond's undiscovered talents.

The fashion show at the Lucky Buddha (1421 E. Cary St.) will feature the work of six local designers from 9 to 10 p.m. Among them is edgy T-shirt company Skalion Clothing (mentally unbalanced lumberjack gnomes playing chess? Yes, please).

The art show at Cha Cha's Cantina (1419 E. Cary St.) features five artists, including Marcus Hyde, Matt Lively and Sean Sweeny, from 7-9 p.m.

Whether you toast with champagne or slug PBR

Donations of $3 to Richmond Unite are encouraged. Slip into the Underground is Jan. 26 from 7-10 p.m.

If you're looking for something further out, wait for the Bootleggers Ball (Feb. 4) -- see info here.
