D.C.'s Broccoli City Festival started in 2013 as an effort bring attention to Earth Day, and to help educate and inspire people about why its important to be "active and engaged participants in their community." This year, the Broccoli City Group is launching Broccoli City Week (April 29-May 6) with a wide range of events, including a 5K run and volunteering opportunities, leading up to the music festival. The festival lineup includes Rae Sremmurd, 21 Savage, Lil Yachty & more.

Hip-hop icons The Roots host this annual festival in Philly. 2017 marks the 10th annual Roots Picnic; the band will co-headline with Pharrell, Lil Wayne, 21 Savage, Kimbra, Solange and Gilles Peterson will also take the stage.

Delaware's Firefly Music Festival has only been around since 2012, but it's already become an East Coast summer staple -- and it's just a two-to-three-hour drive from the D.C. area, making it a perfect music-filled weekend getaway.
